Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral is the seat of the Diocese of Toledo, Ohio. The motto of the city of Toledo is “Laborare est orare,” or “To work is to pray.” Two thumbs up, Toledo!
The cathedral was completed in 1931 but not dedicated until 1940.
Rosary Cathedral is a famous example of the Plateresque style, which is, in short, a mixture of Gothic, Renaissance, and Islamic elements that became very popular in Spain in the 15th–17th centuries.
